Introduction : Travelling means to go from one place to another. Generally people go for a long distance in travelling. Bookish knowledge is theoretical and incomplete. In order to have practical knowledge we have to go for travelling. Travelling plays a very important role in achieving perfect education. It is necessary for gaining practical experience.
Purpose of Travelling: Man has an inborn curiosity to know the unknown and to see the unseen. He wants too see the new countries, cities, mountains, lakes, rivers, seas etc. He wants to know about different nations, their culture, manner and religions. It is necessary for writing books, collecting data and increasing trade and commerce.

Troubles of Travelling: In ancient time, travellers had to suffer much for travelling. They did not have suitable transport. They undertook a lot of troubles while travelling over high mountains or to cross the wide rivers or deserts. Nowadays, travelling has become much easier for the invention of aeroplane, buses, speedy trains, ships etc. In spite of that there are some difficulties. These are :
- Harassment of pickpockets, hijackers, miscreants, and dishonest customs officer.
- Suspicion and harassment of the law and enforcement agencies.
- Travel sickness of new weather, water and soil.

Usefulness : A traveller can see the customs, religions, trade and commerce of different countries of the world. He can learn a new language when he will come in touch with the people of other language. Travelling helps us to observe the new creation of god. We can see the natural wonders of the world. We can also see the wonderful cities, structures and civilization. Travelling broadens our mind, widens our outlook and develops our practical knowledge. Travelling is very important for the students. The university students have to go for excursion. It is a kind of travelling. The college students also go for study tour or picnic. It is necessary to remove their boredom of study.
Conclusion : As the usefulness of travelling is unending, we have to go for travelling. For this reason, schools, colleges, universities and even the government arrange travelling. We must go for travelling to fulfill our theoretical knowledge. By sitting at our home, we cannot learn what we gain after travelling to foreign lands. Travelling is really very important in our life.

ভূমিকা : ভ্রমণ বলতে এক স্থান থেকে অন্য স্থানে ঘুরে বেড়ানো বুঝায়। সাধারণত মানুষ ভ্রমণের জন্য অনেক দূরে যায়। পাঠ্যজ্ঞান তাত্ত্বিক এবং অসম্পূর্ণ। বাস্তব শিক্ষা অর্জন করাতে আমাদের ভ্রমণে যেতে হয়। বাস্তব শিক্ষা অর্জন করতে ভ্রমণ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে। এটি বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতা লাভ করার জন্য অপরিহার্য।
ভ্রমণের উদ্দেশ্য : মানুষের অজানাকে জানতে এবং অদেখাকে দেখতে আজন্ম উৎসুখ। সে নতুন দেশ, শহর, পাহাড়, হ্রদ, নদী, সমুদ্র প্রভৃতি দেখতে চায়। সে বিভিন্ন জাতি, তাদের সংস্কৃতি, রীতিনীতি এবং ধর্ম সম্পর্কে জানতে চায়। এটি বই লেখা, তথ্য সংগ্রহ এবং ব্যবসায় বাণিজ্য বৃদ্ধির জন্য অপরিহার্য।
ভ্রমণের সমস্যা : আদিমকালে ভ্রমণকারীদের ভ্রমণের জন্য অনেক ভোগান্তি পোহাতে হতো। তাদের উপযোগী পরিবহন ব্যবস্থা ছিল না। তারা উঁচু পর্বত বা প্রশস্ত নদী, মরুভূমি পার হতে অনেক সমস্যার সম্মুখীন হতে হতো। বর্তমানে, উড়োজাহাজ, বাস, গতিময় ট্রেন, জাহাজ প্রভৃতি আবিষ্কারের ফলে ভ্রমণ অনেক সহজ হয়েছে। এ সত্ত্বেও কিছু সমস্যা রয়েছে। সেগুলো হলো :
- পকেটমার, ছিনাতাইকারী, গুণ্ডা এবং অসৎ কাস্টম অফিসারদের হয়রানি।
- অবিশ্বাস এবং আইনের হয়রানি এবং সংজ্ঞার প্রবর্তন।
- নতুন আবহাওয়া, পানি এবং মাটির ভ্রমণ পীড়া ।

উপকারিতা : এজজন ভ্রমণকারী পৃথিবীর বিভিন্ন দেশের প্রথা, ধর্ম, ব্যবসায় ও বাণিজ্য দেখতে পারে। সে নতুন একটি ভাষা শিখতে পারে যখন সে অন্য ভাষাভাষী মানুষের সংস্পর্শে আসে। ভ্রমণ ঈশ্বরের নতুন সৃষ্টি অনুভব সহায়তা করে। আমরা পৃথিবীর প্রাকৃতিক আশ্চর্য দেখতে পারি। আমরা বিস্ময়কর শহর, দালানকোটা এবং সভ্যতা পর্যবেক্ষণ করতে পারি। ভ্রমণ আমাদের মনকে প্রসারিত করে, দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি প্রসারিত করে এবং আমাদের বাস্তব জ্ঞানে দক্ষতা বাড়ায়। ভ্রমণ ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জন্য অনেক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্রছাত্রীদের শিক্ষাভ্রমণের জন্য যেতে হয়। এটি এক ধরনের ভ্রমণ। কলেজ ছাত্রছাত্রীরা শিক্ষা ভ্রমণ বা বনভোজনে যায়। এটি তাদের পড়াশুনার ক্লান্তি দূর করতে প্রয়োজনীয়।
উপসংহার : যেহেতু ভ্রমণের উপকারিতা অসীম, আমাদের ভ্রমণের জন্য যেতে হবে। একারণে, স্কুল কলেজে, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এবং এমনকি সরকারও ভ্রমণের ব্যবস্থা করেন। আমাদের অবশ্যই তাত্ত্বিকজ্ঞান পরিপূর্ণ করতে ভ্রমণে যেতে হবে। আমরা বিদেশ ভ্রমণ করে যে জ্ঞান লাভ করতে পারি আমাদের বাড়িতে বসে,তা শিখতে পারি না।
