Illiteracy Paragraph : Illiteracy means the state of being illiterate. It is a curse for a nation. Illiteracy is similar to darkness. It destroys man’s rational faculties. When a man can not read and write, he is illiterate. An illiterate man is a burden to the society. He can not take part in any development activities. All the activities of a government fail, if its people are illiterate. An illiterate man does not know how to lead a happy and healthy life. He goes downward. Illiteracy creates manifold problems for him. It keeps him aloof from the humanistic qualities. Man becomes similar to beasts because of illiteracy. Thus illiteracy should be removed from the country. Everyone should be conscious against it. The government should come forward to remove this. If everyone of a country is literate, there will create a congenial atmosphere everywhere.

নিরক্ষরতা বলতে নিরক্ষর বা অক্ষরজ্ঞানহীন থাকা অবস্থাকে বুঝায়। এটি একটি জাতির জন্য অভিশাপ। এটি অন্ধকারের সামিল। এটি মানুষের যুক্তিসিদ্ধ ক্ষমতা ধ্বংস করে। যখন একজন মানুষ লিখতে পড়তে পারে না। তখন সে নিরক্ষর। একজন নিরক্ষর লোক সমাজের বোঝা। সে কোন উন্নয়নমূলক কর্মকাণ্ডে অংশগ্রহণ করতে পারে না। সরকারের সকল কর্মকাণ্ড ব্যর্থ হয়, যদি তার জনগণ নিরক্ষর হয়। একজন নিরক্ষর লোক জানে না কিভাবে সুখী ও স্বাস্থ্যবান জীবনযাপন করতে হয়। তার অধঃপতন হয়। নিরক্ষরতা তার জন্য নানাবিধ সমস্যার সৃষ্টি করে। এটি তাকে মানবতান্ত্রিক গুণাবলি থেকে দূরে রাখে। নিরক্ষরতার কারণে মানুষ পশুর সমান হয়। সুতরাং দেশ থেকে নিরক্ষরতা দূর করা উচিত। প্রত্যেকেরই এর বিরুদ্ধে সচেতন হওয়া উচিত। এটি দূর করতে সরকারের এগিয়ে আসা উচিত। যদি দেশের প্রত্যেকে অক্ষরজ্ঞান সম্পন্ন হয়, তাহলে সর্বত্র অনুকূল পরিবেশ সৃষ্টি হবে।
